Sounds about right in terms of texture and sweetness. I just checked the per 100 g calories and dates are about ⅔ of nougat so slightly better in that sense. I imagine with the added fiber and nutrients it's a winner for those that have a snickers hankering...

Apparently, you can make date snacks that taste exactly like a snickers bar by studying a date with peanut butter, peanuts, a bit of salt, and some chocolate drizzle.

And now that I think about that I bet you can quickly use a blender to turn them into a snickers flavoured milkshake ..
