@raphael I think the identity coupled with the server is indeed a big issue.

I also think servers end up arbitrarily filtering content in and out is another big issue because the user don't know they're missing content.

@raphael that federation isn't the way to go?

It scales very very badly and doesn't really remove the risk implied by having middlemen... It actually makes that worse because these small actors are more likely to go away
