In 2017, when a madman drove his car into a crowd of people in Manhattan, it was described as a terror attack, the city sent out a push notification to warn people, and it dominated news for days. This one went ignored by media and coddled by cops.

@gurftastic @charleshaine cool, thanks for sharing. These numbers don’t really pass the smell test though, at least for desktops. Which are a fraction of laptop sales, so probably very subject to statistical noise.

@matt I believe it can, the issue is really just that with an ext volume APFS being an image in a container means two points of possible failure at boot time mount. VS one on HFS.

@matt do it as an HFS+ volume instead. APFS has some funky behaviors at boot time.

@matt are you using an apfs or hfs+ partition?
