I am obviously professionally (and personally) interested in online media so I watch a lot of creators. And I have to say, Michael Burns of Wisecrack does a great job of popularizing philosophy with an almost pastoral intent to increase critical thinking. This new side project is worth promoting.
Appropriately for this week, I am preparing a lecture on corporate media monopolies and trust in media. The Murdochs' News Corp media empire still blows my mind. It across the world: Australia, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, United States, New Zealand, Germany, Italy, India, China, Japan. This list is not close to exhaustive.
Then I think about their new divisions role in climate denial narratives... 🤢

There's a really cool event being put on by DSA in France tonight called "Race, Politics, and the Democratic Socialist Left: Perspectives from France and the U.S".

In these Covid times, a book arriving in the mail is even more exciting than normal. This book order was a throw back experience too with no tracking and taking a month to come from the UK so I was genuinely surprised today.
I have been really looking forward to this one.
