The war of words between GOP politicians in Washington and the District Attorney’s office in Manhattan escalated into the courtroom on Tuesday when DA Alvin Bragg filed a federal lawsuit in the Southern District of New York against the House Judiciary Committee and its chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). He also named, for formal purposes, Mark Pomerantz, a former prosecutor in his office, whom Bragg wishes to protect from having to testify.

Margaret Brennan and CBS’ “Face The Nation” is horrible… She first pestered Senator Warren about her position about raising the FDIC limit, ignoring the Senator’s point that the failure to regulate is why this is occurring in the first place. Then, when the Senator relented and said she does support raising the limit (as she should) Brennan used that against Warren with the Republican she had on after and attacked her with it.

Just finished my first ride on the Major Taylor trail, an 8.1mi trail connecting Chicago to Dolton, across the Little Calumet River. The trail celebrates the first African American cyclist to become a world champion. The bridge over the river has a really lovely sequence of painted panels detailing Taylor's life and accomplishments. What a joyful ride 😀
