Geriatric millennial that doesn't get enough sleep or exercise.

I wanna talk about comics, buddhism, parenting, and maybe software development too.

Woo, going to upgrade to an Xbox Series S with my birthday money and the holiday version of the console. Trading an optical drive and going from 1 TB down to 512 GB, but I think it's worth it since I can expand disk space with an external drive and either use the old console as a blu-ray/DVD player or pick one up somewhere. Guess I need to figure out what I want to do with my old Xbone (and 360, although the 360 is nice for games that aren't backwards compatible yet)
Didn't use the bird app a whole lot, so makes sense that I'm fairly quiet here.

To get started I recommend following and checking out the toots of @feditips and @FediFollows

#90s tech. As seen on #chicago north side
Recently picked up the Heavy Metal bundle from HumbleBundle and was reading some of the old issues from the late 70's and early 80's and seeing articles about 80's horror directors, a review of a Motorhead album, ads for the latest album by the Cars, a gallery of H.R. Giger paintings, and of course all the crazy sci-fi and fantasy comics content felt like finding my tribe.

It's been about 5 months since I transitioned from being a software developer to a technical product manager. I think I've finally begun to adjust to the different cadence of dopamine hits derived from task completion.

A similar experience occurred when moving from integration support to being a dev.

Sometimes I miss being a dev. I need to start coding again for fun in my (very limited) free time...

Games I'm currently playing and haven't given up on yet

1. Sekiro
2. Soma
3. Resident Evil 2 Remake (Leon B)
4. Resident Evil 6 (Ada)
5. Dragon Age Inquisition

#3 has been on pause the longest because I keep dying in the same spot and I hate getting chased by Mr. X

Another one that is technically on the list is MGSV: Ground Zeroes, where the main "campaign" has been completed but I want to beat some of the other missions before I start Phantom Pain.

Finding a #mentalhealth provider is so hard.

I've reached out to four providers in the last year and two never got back to me, one initially got back to me and then ghosted, and the last one turned out not to be accepting new patients for in-person visits.

I'm guessing it is partly an issue of low supply and high demand, but it's kind of ridiculous.

And then, even when you find someone, it's hit or miss on whether or not you vibe with them enough to get treated by them.

Ok, finally got around to setting up an account here. I don't use Twitter very much, but maybe I'll get into regularly typing/screaming into this particular void instead.
