A browse through the Google graveyard makes me a little weary of using tools they bring out. I was a big user of Google Hangouts and Google Air for instance. Killed by Google I’ve been using Google Tasks and Google Keep a lot lately, but don’t want to get too attached. https://killedbygoogle.com/
Killed by Google

Killed by Google is the open source list of dead Google products, services, and devices. It serves as a tribute and memorial of beloved services and products killed by Google.

@vincentvikram @Deepsealioness @[email protected] @KnottedBow @Tweetofgod whatever be the provocation, it would be nice if people spoke the way they would on any public space. I find it very discomforting when anyone is sweared at. It takes the discussion to a whole new level and creates abusive trolls of ordinary people. We don't want this to be another twitter.

P. S If anyone didn't like the above free rant the best way to deal with it is ignore.

@DilliDurAst a lack of alternate govt will strengthen BJP even more. As of now, the lesser the BJP is in power the better for opposition.
@hwnewsenglish another news outlet that plays to the gallery. Unfollowing. What we want is to be presented news objectively and for us to judge if any propoganda was busted. If all you can do is add every adjective and present news leaving little space for us to form opinion. You become biased.
@sanjayuvacha @gautambhatia @suhrith sharing this with my circle of friends who are curious about the interpretation. Very insightful. Thank you

A fine piece on the #AYODHYAVERDICT by @gautambhatia and @suhrith . The reference to Plesy v Ferguson at the end, is most apposite.

Peace bought by an unequal compromise

We must be wary of verdicts that align cleanly with what appears to be the dominant public sentiment at a given time

@ManojGramath @audreytruschke yes, could consider having a fixed time. Missed it too.
@liaizon @Gargron i think office accounts should be allowed. You think if all they wanted to do was to snoop then wouldn't they use any random account. Having more official.account helps the community. All we want to escape from is hate, bigotry. I think they should be welcomed.
@vimoh Birdsite's growth and sustenance is tied to user engagement. And nothing keeps people engaged when they are passionately angry about a cause. Keeping people perennially angry is good for the site. Right wing Politicians employ this all the time - their followers are always angry (Trump fans in US, Hindutuva in India, Seeman fans in TamilNadu).

Some answers I've come up with:

1) Not many people

Yep. But the platform is gaining traction. Just look at the kind of conversations I have been having here. People are crazy responsive.

(Here I show them the same post I've done on Birdsite, Facesite and Mastodon.)

The quality of responses here are wayyyy better too. Not some "jali na teri" memes. People will come! You come first!
