The Boston Globe keeps running photos of Maura Healey with this story. By contrast, here’s today’s (correct) Boston Herald treatment. The Globe, to its credit, broke the story. But let’s get the emphasis right. #mapoli

Globe is reporting that Boston Public Schools spends more per student than any other LARGE district in the country. BPS says the numbers they're using seem $10,000 per student over what their figures show but regardless, I'd like to re-up this. As a percent of municipal budget Boston sucks. Milton academy charges $55,000 tuition for day attendance, no room and board. Considering the Boston population is 33% English language learners they should get at least that much per student. #BPS #BPSBudget

Glass Cliff Theory holds that once the boys network have decided a CEO job is too hard or the company unsalvageable THEN they give it to a woman. And when she fails they blame it on her.

So if/when Space McAfee boasts about appointing a female CEO to Twitter, remember that.

The New England electrical grid regulator (ISO-NE) just allocated hundreds of millions of ratepayer dollars to keep dirty fossil fuel plants alive until 2026, including the coal-fired Merrimack Station. Now, we have until May 5 to submit public comments opposing federal approval of this decision. Su
