Yesterday, the Social Interactions Lab gave a panel presentation at the 2023 Philippine Population Association (PPA) Scientific Conference in Iloilo City. We presented initial findings of the Social Support Satisfaction Scale Development Project. Huge thanks to the PPA for giving us space to disseminate our work.

In 2007, some in #DecisionScience suggested so.
In 2016, a meta-analysis suggested this #identifiableVictimEffect was very small.
More recently, people like me have wondered if the effect is practically nil.
Hajdi Moche reports that 6 of 7 well-powered studies didn't find the effect.
