@ai6yr To be fair, many a potential human relationship has been sunk when the target of affection opens their mouth. This is how we know that the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound.

@petergleick Sad day
"You do you" is Californian for "Bless your heart".
@dougfir @ai6yr @nsf_bot @bud_t I had to Google, and found a paper written by Rothermel and Burgan describing it in 1984. Obviously, several updates since. Now on V7.
@CavedaleRhones @ai6yr @dougfir Many agencies do just that via add on contracts, where agencies can basically do a "me too" on an existing bid. Writing bids is a tedious process. Add ons can save a ton of staff time.
@dougfir @ai6yr @nsf_bot @bud_t I'm not buying that. BEHAVE typically models spotting 1/3 to 1/2 mile out, depending on fuel type.
@ai6yr @dougfir The issue here isn't necessarily funding. Apparatus manufacturers are waaaay behind on orders. I've heard 18-24 months isn't unheard of. You could have cash on the barrel head and not be able to get anything.
@bud_t Huzzah! You can add me as a co-signer. KF6UGD, though my license may be expired. I started in ham about the same time the Internet became popular. As a mid-20's guy, I found I didn't fit in. I believe that's your point.
Just weeks after the removal of dams restored a free-flowing Klamath River, salmon have made their way upstream to begin spawning and have been spotted in Oregon for the first time in more than a century. https://www.latimes.com/environment/story/2024-10-19/klamath-salmon-thriving

The removal of dams on the Klamath River has enabled salmon to swim far upstream to spawn. Wildlife officials have found salmon upstream in Oregon.
