@atpfm Ubiquti Flex switch in the enclosure they sell. It’s powered by POE from the house via 250’ underground Ethernet (you can see an AC POE injector at the top, but I’ve never had to use it so it’s not connected). The Flex switch passes through POE to a very directional access point and camera. No issues in 14 months. The camera in the tree has been as you see it for 3 years. No dielectric grease or anything. Not costal, but some tough Massachusetts weather.

@marcoarment Ubiquiti’s cameras get a full endorsement from me. Near realtime notifications, with preview thumbnail while on the LAN. Own your own recordings not on the camera. AppleTV app (it’s fine). I have them also running through homebridge, which actually works with with HKSV, but onestly I just use Ubiquiti’s protect app. I’ve never had a disconnected camera. Plus, POE is awesome if you can run Ethernet to them. I absoloutly love them.
