@farawaythyer It's been a great hack so far.

Here is a level that shredded my ass to oblivion. This one had me so frustrated.

It's a double-jump level, and you need to remember to jump in the exit sequence or else you will die in the lava.

Played through the entire X-Men game on a real arcade cabinet. This local arcade opened up near my place and I went to check it out tonight. I asked a random dude to join me and he helped me out for a couple levels. This was so much fun, love this game.
@Antrotroll It was a difficult task hauling it lol. I needed to use a wheeled cart.
I retrieved the 35 inch Sony Trinitron from storage and got it moved over to my new place at last. There was an outlet on the wall above it and I was able to plug it in and test it. It turns on and there is no collapse which is very promising.
@Vyothric That could be caused by aging capacitors, I need to recap several of my monitors and TVs cause they're getting old.
I opened up the case and reflowed all the cracked joints I found as well as the pins of the vertical deflection IC and that got it fixed at last. I'm so happy about that because this is such a good monitor.
It worked if I propped it up cause that would flex the PCB enough for the cracked joints to connect and I played all of Dark Souls like this, sometimes the screen would collapse in the middle of a boss fight and I would get fuckin slaughtered cause Dark Souls has no pause. This was my late mom's monitor that she had for her Windows XP computer and I salvaged it from her old house when she moved out. I played so much Sims and Simpsons Hit and Run on this monitor. And it's time to properly fix it.

I've had a problem with my Gateway monitor that's been going on for 5 years or something now which gets fixed by nudging it

This is called vertical foldover or collapse and usually when you have an issue like this that is fixed by hitting it, it usually means there is a cracked solder joint on the vertical deflection chip.

Next RGB mod I will do is going to be on the 35 inch Sony Trinitron I found on the street several years ago. This only has composite and S-Video so it's a ripe candidate for the RGB MUX mod. I already have a SCART MUX board assembled and ready to go for it.
