I wrote a little userscript that makes it easier to review each of your new submissions on Fur Affinity and automatically remove the notification. It's pretty basic but maybe someone else would find it useful

Our house was plumbed with defective pipes and I had to pay $11k out of pocket to get it replumbed.
Our insurance wouldn’t cover it because there was a pending class action lawsuit and we were expected to be reimbursed.
Here we are, two fucking years after I submitted my claim, and three years after dropping all that money, and the settlement administrators won’t even return my calls or emails.
Who the fuck do I call now? Am I just never going to recoup that massive loss? That’s an enormous amount of money to me and completely tanked my savings even now.

Laurie VossA thing about Mastodon that I didn't realize I'd missed from pre-algorithm Twitter is the sheer randomness of the content. No longer honed to be hyper-engaging (usually by being scary or enraging) I now see weird experiments, fun scientific papers, random shitposts. Of course it's not all exactly in my wheelhouse, but that makes it simultaneously more *interesting* while being less *addictive*. The whole experience feels a lot healthier for my brain.
