A media outlet that’s loudly backed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been linked to a sweeping disinformation outfit that’s long promoted Kremlin talking points, researchers from the cyber firm Mandiant first told me.

The Polish-language influence campaign NDP is centered around a bogus news site which alleged that Poland was prepared to annex Western Ukraine. It’s previously published fabricated diplomatic documents, too. Mandiant’s researchers concluded that NDP shares characteristics with Ghostwriter, an influence campaign supported by a suspected Belarusian cyber-espionage group.

The same phony social media personas promote content from both NDP and Ghostwriter, according to Mandiant analysts David Mainor and Sam Riddell. Both NDP and Ghostwriter promote the same specific talking points and similar authors appear to be publishing anti-NATO blog posts.
