Tanks are expensive. Missiles are expensive. Even bullets are expensive. Human’s life is priceless.

Ukrainians are paying the highest price for freedom, that is shared among everyone.

Many people are desperately afraid of “forever masking.”

I'm afraid of #COVID19 remaining a top five cause of death indefinitely.

I'm scared COVID will leave billions with lasting damage to their heart, brains, and immune systems.

I'm frightened that children infected three, four or nine times will have lifelong health issues.

I'm worried that a rapidly mutating virus could yet spin off a deadly new variant.

Why is it so hard to do something so simple to possibly save a life? #WearAMask

Mein Mastodon-Server hat seit heute Morgen eine sehr hohe Load, ohne dass ich jetzt einen Grund dafür erkennen könnte. Jemand eine Idee?

I increasingly think that “freedom” is the most important word to take back from the fascists.

In rightwing hands, freedom often means
“no rules to allow billionaires to accumulate all the profits and power” or “privatize and destroy societal services” — schools to healthcare.

Real freedom is freedom from want, freedom to pursue happiness without worry about healthcare bankruptcy and with good schools for all.

@JohnWest_JAWS Wow. That's setting back the clock how many years? 50, 100, 150?

The Lords will not let it through in this form, and will fight it all the way. Starmer has already pledged to repeal it, if it is passed.
Why Labour is wrong about reforming the GP contract at a time when the NHS is in crisis https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2023/01/09/why-labour-is-wrong-about-reforming-the-gp-contract-at-a-time-when-the-nhs-is-in-crisis/ Labour says it wants to reform the GP contract. It should do its thinking first because it's preferred alternative is very clearly worse right now.
The stock market is failing according to the CBI. So why don’t we just let it go?

I posted this on Twitter this morning: https://twitter.com/RichardJMurphy/status/1942861045426516103 My point is serious. The CBI is saying that the situation with regard to the UK stock exchange is getting desperate, because it is losing out to overseas markets and not attracting sufficient business. The question that needs to be asked is, why is that?...

I really need cis women to stop saying shit like "you're beautiful just as you are!" when I mention things like getting laser hair removal.

I'm not doing it to match some feminine beauty standard, I'm doing it because facial hair is dysphoric as fuck for me.

After Ukraine wins the war, the vatniks will accuse us of many things. But, giving up won't be one of them.
