Talc and asbestos form under similar conditions. In fact, most talc has naturally occurring asbestos in it when it's mined.
Granted, they should have known this already and pulled talc off the market as soon as we learned how dangerous asbestos was, but nobody ground up asbestos to put in talc powder.
Tonight’s new brew was Blackberry Bramble from Lost 40 Brewing. This is a seasonal brew packed with blackberry juice. It’s sweet and tart with very little bitterness.
This was a nice way to finish out the evening; it’s basically dessert in a can. It was very refreshing and I didn’t feel like I was drinking beer. Definitely light bodied and pleasant.
6% ABV and they didn’t list the IBU, but I’d bet it’s less than 10.
From the brewery:
Packed with the juice of blackberries featuring tangerine and clementine-forward aromatics. Features a crisp and tart berry zing.
Tonight’s new beer was Red Headed Stranger Irish Red Ale from Bentonville Brewing Co. I’m no stranger to Irish reds, thanks to Killian’s, but this one is so much better.
This is a delightful brew that’s not very bitter. I certainly tasted the earthiness and toffee in this one. It was dark, so I’ll take their word for the deep ruby color. This is a beer I could certainly see myself sipping on regularly.
5.4% ABV
22 IBU
From the brewery:
This iconic beer style harks back to the early roots of craft brewing, but is no less deserving still of a place among the rows of “Pastry this” and “Hazy that” that seem so ubiquitous on the shelves these days. Smooth bodied, deep ruby in color, and offering a mild earthy hop aroma with a gentle bitterness and notes of toffee, toast, and black tea. This ale is one of our favorites, and just may be one of yours as well.
