@brevs_bread honestly, for me, i'm always looking at references for things. the stuff that you use more often, you'll start to remember, so don't sweat it. focus more on grokking the language, and how it likes to operate compared to other languages.

are you on a linux system? g++ should do you just fine. going thru tutorials on make is highly recommended

tfw you are repeatedly checking all your gamer related social media, and the Roll20 campaign page, to see if the other kids in your gaming group are as obsessively hype as you are, and want to talk about ALL THE GAMES, even when you're not currently PLAYING THE GAMES, and go through all the character backstories in great detail, before the first session even happens....

and alas, they are not.

@maenad has done a great job making things really accommodating and flexible for a game store crew. It helps that you don't have a D&D style xp gap problem, if people can't make every session

#introduction

I've been playing RPGs (mostly D&D) for 25+ years, but I've been jamming on indie games for the past few years.

I'm currently playing a Blades in the Dark game, and I'm looking forward to playing some Burning Wheel soon.

My goal for the new year is to run more games (thinking about starting an Urban Shadows group). I'm really interested in exploring the online gaming space, so if you're interested, let me know.
