I am a happily married, totally blind musician and tech enthusiast. My wife and I have three cats plus any strays that decide we make a great bed and breakfast.
@serichsen Do you have any idea what the emotion is missing that the braille since has?
@serichsen I forgot about that. I need to look at the user manual for it.
@JamminJerry I don’t remember which one, but one of the John Grisham novels was one of my very first audible reads.
@JamminJerry It has been a long time since I read John Grisham. I read most of his stuff for a long time, and then got away from it. The chamber is absolutely one of my very favorites along with a time to kill.
@brian_hartgen That is good to know. I really have been leaning toward that product. In fact, when I got the brilliant BI 40 X, I realized later that I should’ve gone ahead and got the brailleSense instead.
@Ranger1138 Now that is funny. I totally agree with you that the result is about the same. With slightly more nutritional value being in the Taco Bell meal.
@brian_hartgen For two or three years, we had a community choir for which I did narration. I have always brailed out the narration using my Perkins brayer, because I just didn’t trust the brilliant to not lock up on me. It doesn’t happen often, but just enough that there’s no way I would be without hardcopy. Also, the quieter the better as far as I am concerned when panning using a braille display. That is one area where the braille sense really shines. Not sure about the mantis.
For anyone who has experience with the latest version of Dexcom, as well as the freestyle, libre sensors, I have some questions.
@jaybird110127 @FreakyFwoof I am seriously considering purchasing. Glad to know tBlastBay is still out there making content. Quite a departure from Q9, but I like it.
Let’s say that I plan to get a second braille display. I currently have a brilliant BI 40 X. I have played with the braille since six and there are things about it I really liked. I have also heard some really good things about the mantis, but I’ve never laid hands on one of them. I would like some pros and cons. Also, I am willing to entertain other ideas not mentioned here if they pop up in the discussion.
