I recently came out on Facebook, essentially coming out to my entire family and friend group that follows me (or at least to those who see it) - as I was only partly out via Twitter and colleagues/friends/wife. It went surprisingly well. I was most worried about my dad. He took several days past when I know he saw it (and we had a phone call with a bunch of awkward silences on his part) but he finally gave it a heart and left it at that. I had hoped for more, but we will see in time.

I'm hurting tonight over the news this morning. Thankfully, my 1 year old's infectious laugh, my 5 year old's boundless energy, my wife's unwaivering support and my dog's endless loyalty are keeping me going and geared for the fights to come!
