Alice Wilson Rohrer 1886 - 1986. Oscar’s first wife died two weeks after he was born. His second wife was my great grandmother in every sense. She told many stories about life on the farm in the early 1900s. I wish as a child/teen that I had had the foresight to take notes. #genealogen #genealogy

This is a picture of Daniel P Shively and his wife Harriet Little. They are my second great grandfather on my paternal side. My ancestors on my father’s side were Pennsylvania Dutch people who migrated from Pennsylvania into Ohio (some via Maryland) and across into Indiana. They were rural people who lived in central Indiana.

This picture is of Cornelius Sullivan and his wife Maria Morris. They are my fourth great grandparents on my maternal side. My mother’s ancestors were rural people who lived in Indiana. They were Old Order German Dunkards who were descended from people who migrated from Pennsylvania into Maryland and across Ohio. Some of the surnames on my maternal side are Rairigh, Funk, Shepler, Patton, Sheafor, and many more.
