@BrynnTannehill74 Maybe there is no replacement?

We'd all be better off if Twitter and most of corporate social media went away. They're not a democratizing force, but the general populace isn't techy enough to use open-source decentralized alternatives.

@haelos @adamconover Well, I guess I am stupid for assuming you were asking an honest question. I'll note that for the future that you're a jackfuck troll and just ignore you.

@haelos @adamconover Multi-faceted question.

Use incognito mode when searching google. You'll get actual results since there's no info to use to target ads.

Use duckduckgo

Use Wikipedia directly

use "-youtube" in your google search to discourage it from handing you youtube videos. There's nothing worse than "HEY GUYS" when all you want is a simple answer"

Also, all your friends on facebook that share bitmap images of text instead of just sharing the text are the problem. Shun them.

@kairyssdal ChatGPT built the mailing list.
@adamconover Spot on. Well done.
@kairyssdal Also, the practice of automatically upgrading a meal order to the super-size is nearly universal now. They don't ask. You order, pull up to the window, and they hand you a bucket of soda and a large fry with your hamburger. They do not ask. You have to specify small at the speaker or you get the large.
@kairyssdal Huge price changes over the last three years. Standard #1 meals at Wendy's and BK have gone from $6.99 two years ago to almost $12. Louisville, KY.

@kairyssdal @davidmwessel I don't even think the debt ceiling is constitutional.

The executive has been ordered by law to spend money on things, but prevented by another law from procuring the funds?

Treasury should either mint the coin, or just ignore the debt ceiling law and dare Congress to sue them. Then the SCOTUS can throw it out and we don't have to waste time on this idiocy anymore.

@kairyssdal All news outlets have a box full of stories they recycle at certain times of the year, every year.
