@ClimateHuman As far as I can tell it's a bunch of people getting together to wring their hands and claim that 'something must be done' while neatly sidestepping the fact that as our elected leaders and representatives it's up to them to do that something.

@JasonThorne I want to create a world where all women would feel safe cycling this route. But we don't live in that world, and until we do, we need to design routes that women do feel safe on. Thank you for highlighting this.
Harrie Larrington-SpencerCouncils often use barriers like these on traffic-free walking & cycling routes.
They say that they're to stop illegitimate users, like off-road motorcyclists, but in reality they fail to stop these.
But they do stop disabled people like me who use adapted cycles & other types of mobility aids. And we'd really like to access these safe and quiet routes too.
