@rizzi am curious about the new Reeder app. Just one question. Will it maybe support some sort of filters on feeds?
E.g. having hacker news subscribed I'm not interested in the "who's hiring" posts sound like to be able to just locally filter those kind of items.
It's the one feature I'm "missing" on the current app. Custom filters per feed.

@scottfgray if affordable I'd rather recommend getting the 7$/Month personal plan from backblaze or similar service, which should backup your file changes to a cloud backup storage encrypted (with own key if required) on every file save.

Is less manual work and you have a backup of whole system and connected usb drives. If too expensive your way is definitely valid.

That said... I haven't done it myself because of "will look at it later"-itis.

@ansc das hat hauptsächlich mit Social Network fatigue zu tun denke ich.

Ich hab auch keinen Bock mehr auf das alles. Twitter war nur noch reines doom scrolling und auf fediverse muss man bei jedem Wort aufpassen, dass man nicht jemandem auf den Schlips tritt.

Good old RSS is where it's at for me these days.
