Here looking for a new home. Quit FB and IG in 2017 and Twitter in 2022 because I'd rather not leave the world worse than I found it.

I'm a creative unbound by medium but results may vary. #building #modding #tech #mtb #cycling #photography #pets

@evacide this describes me trying to fold my wife's T-shirt exactly 🤣
I used Artifact for news for 108 days and that's how long it took for their recommendations to be just as bad as Google News (overly targeted and irrelevant at the same time) and now the app says they are shutting down... 🤷

@coffeegeek @jannem @coffee white is available, so are other sizes. I travel with one of these for my MacBook charger so it can sit on the floor instead of hoping it will stay in the wall.

Erica Lafferty is the daughter of the principal killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre

She was diagnosed with cancer and had to resort to crowdfunding her treatment as her insurance denied her claim

That was after the Alex Jones verdict

A verdict he was ordered to pay $1.48B in defamation charges

An amount he hasn’t paid while spending $90,000/mo to support his lifestyle

His victims are now asking for 6% of what he owes

#iPhone people have no idea how to send a text.

One thread filled with phone numbers and email addresses, splits into a conversation with the phone numbers and the email people just see individual emails from the sender.

FYI, Sending text to email adds the text as an attachment.

This printer review is hilarious: https://www.theverge.com/23642073/best-printer-2023-brother-laser-wi-fi-its-fine

We had one of those printers that just printed fine for years before it broke down. We replaced it with a Canon printer that feels like one of those first ink-jet printers. It works roughly 10% of the time and it is such a pain in the ass. How can this printer problem still be a thing in 2023?

Best printer 2023: just buy this Brother laser printer everyone has, it’s fine

The best printer to buy is the one that works without you needing to think about it or subscribe to some nonsense ink refill thing. For most people, that’s the Brother HL-L2305W or something like the MFC-L2750DW that adds a scanner.

@bastianallgeier I have a Canon G7020 w/ tanks and when it works it is fantastic.

It probably works 25% of the time

There's a lot to dislike about it but the top of the list are:
* No light on the low contrast display, so it's hard to read the error codes.
* Menu navigation is horrible and unintuitive.
* It is incredibly deep, so sits awkwardly on/in any furniture and to make matters worse, when it jams and you have to open the back hatch and/or the top, I swear it needs a cubic meter of space

@coffeegeek I get it, for me it's 16 seconds but at least it's a somewhat passable workaround. I just think everything having to do with steaming milk could be better.

Clearly it was not the focus of the design, more like "welp, I guess we better add a steam circuit and a wand so we can check that box on the product comparison list".

And mainly I'm spoiled by how easy it is to clean up the Bianca after I'm done, that wand is magical.
