Just gathered everyone together in my household to watch the #TimesSquare ball drop (9pm local time, because I will be asleep soon because I'm middle-aged).
Elicited a "Bruh!" from the teenager, a "how much have you had to drink, Mama?" from the 20-year-old, and a reluctant laugh from my husband when I started dancing with him to cheesy TV music.
I don't care about any of it - I'm the cheerful optimist in the family. Happy new year and may 2023 be better than 2022!
