Unnamed federal agents are illegally detaining people whose immigration cases have been dismissed. But it gets worse.

They are now using zip-ties to restrain little kids. This is absolutely inhuman behavior.

@Pepper If the kids can buy candy in the vending machine, they will be less likely to take the free candy from the religious proselytizers.

“But parents and activists who’ve mobilized against LifeWise say that busing students to nearby churches, where they sometimes collect prizes and eat candy, has made some non-Christian children feel left out or pressured to attend.’

An Ohio group has brought Jesus to more than 300 public schools — during class time

LifeWise Academy's Bible lessons are permitted under a pair of decades-old U.S. Supreme Court rulings that allow off-campus religious instruction during school hours.

@MJ he's not stupid. He's lying. He's a populist sowing cynicism. He has no center, so he trafficks in division.

Do Republicans also support free lunch for all public school students? Banning Skittles from vending machines seems less important than ensuring that no child goes hungry.

MAHA-style bills eye whole milk, food dye in PA schools

The legislation comes amid a national Republican effort to overhaul food policy. Critics question whether the proposals would actually improve safety.

Note for the night:

Don’t do “good (ethnic or other minority or marginalized group members ‘x’) agree with my political views and bad ones don’t.”

That’s really not cool.

I am NOT against recreational drugs. Believe me there. I'm against the men with power doing them on my dime while stealing all my stuff and the U.S. press not caring.

In a story that could only happen in 2025, we have reporting that the richest man in the world has such a bad recreational ketamine addiction that he often wets himself uncontrollably.

The richest man in the world who is currently or recently, depending on how much you trust that same guy, a top level government employee with access to all of our private data.

Elon Musk was high on ketamine, carried daily ‘box of pills’ as he cozied up to Trump, report alleges |

Removing yourself from the cutting edge of scientific research is a level of diabolical I dont understand. Why not just boost funding for trade schools?

I digress, this is the stupidity that the country chose.

Luckily, he is not an old man like the last guy, so we're in good hands. No worries there!

Wait, what's that? I'm being handed an envelope…

The posting, which co-opts a famous line from The Blues Brothers, may have contributed to a surge in the price of a crypto asset associated with Pepe the Frog

Pretty sure that if a Clinton, Obama, or Biden effectively hung a "for sale" sign on the White House lawn, the media would figure out a way to be outraged over it but apparently that's too much to ask for with Trump because god forbid they offend their sugar daddy.

@TonyStark

Not acceptable behavior by Trump, wrong term to use. It is collaboration by ALL GOP politicians.

@yuhasz01

Accepted infers something different than acceptable. It's just a fact that Trump's unacceptable behavior is accepted.

@TonyStark

@TonyStark How far the PRESIDENT has moved the lines?

Really, NY Times?

The newspaper that went to the Supreme Court to publish the leaked Pentagon Papers report on the unwinnable war in Vietnam?

And you are blaming the PRESIDENT for moving the lines?

How about looking in the mirror and saying this affirmation? I am good. I am important. I have something to say. And I am willing to go to court if I have to in order to expose the utter collapse of the US respect for the Office of President.

@rhempel @TonyStark I had to stop listening to NPR around the time of his first go-round because I could hear the glee in Steve Inskeep’s voice. I’ve noticed the sparkle in Scott Muir’s eye even when he’s shocked by Trump. PBS on the night of the second election…they hate him, but you can see how much they savor it as a story. Maggie Haberman. The Post and Comey. They’ve been rooting for him. They can’t help themselves. He owns them. It’s one of the saddest parts of all of this.

@TonyStark
Like how Bush's admin used private servers & deleted mail.

Not a peep from the gop.

But what fury from the gop regarding Hillary's email.

And trump has been using private servers in both his terms.

And budget deficits only matter to the gop, and the press, during a Dem presidency. 🤷‍♀️

@absinthe @TonyStark Hied the truth and accuse the opposition of committing the same crimes.
@absinthe It’s exhausting.
@TonyStark
The gop have no shame.
The press fails to hold them accountable.
