Unpopular opinion: Anne Baxter is at least as good (and as much of a lead) as Bette Davis in ALL ABOUT EVE. The 0-to-60 panic when Addison corners her. The way she drops the Eve persona in the last scene and drawls “😐I might.😐” through her cigarette. Completely masterful, revealing her cards at exactly the right moments after keeping them so well hidden. An unjustly maligned performance that I love.
