Unpopular opinion: Anne Baxter is at least as good (and as much of a lead) as Bette Davis in ALL ABOUT EVE. The 0-to-60 panic when Addison corners her. The way she drops the Eve persona in the last scene and drawls โ๐I might.๐โ through her cigarette. Completely masterful, revealing her cards at exactly the right moments after keeping them so well hidden. An unjustly maligned performance that I love.
