I've been using Mastodon as a social media platform for a few years, and one thing I like is how you can join themed communities. For example, you can join mastodon.gamedev.place if you want to hang out with people who build games, or oslo.town if you want

It looks like I'll be more active there for now.
One thing that would be nice to see more exploration around is how to incorporate the growing fediverse with a resurgence of personal publishing, homebrew websites, blogs, journals and the like.
Rather than make this place more like Twitter or Facebook, what if we leaned into the slower pace and less distressing tone, and tried to make it more like the (old school) web—
