I had a dream of like, this really fun portal fantasy, and during the end it was like it was animated like certain parts of the Ralph Bakshi lord of the rings cartoon, and there's a part of me that's so sad I got a phone call waking me up.

... And I'm likely gonna fall right back to sleep.

So, I thought "I'll be clever!" and used a paper towel to shield my hand as I moved things.

Fate would stare down upon me and go "No, fuck you." How, you may ask?

Some oil popped *all the way to my face) and hit me in the eyelid. *I wear glasses that reach my eyebrows.*

What the fuck?!

Oh a thing that happened today.

I like chicken livers, and went to fry the ones I got the other day up before they went bad. The problem though is if you fry them in a thin layer of oil, they pop like CRAZY. I've got two wounds from july that will likely scar on my hand.

Also, unlike on discord, youtube ads are a cesspit of malware and you don't get to *choose* what ads you engage with - you have to eat the slop they give you if you don't have adblock or premium. Often times even if you DO have premium.
I'd say "Youtube, take note!" but honestly if they did something like that they'd paywall as much of the site as possible, instead of using shit that doesn't really impede the site like the ability to buy avatar and profile decorations.

Discord Quests is proof that you can get people to *willingly submit to ads* if you offer them something they want in return.

I actually love it, because I'm NOT spending money on fucking decorations, but I'm happy to watch a few ads to earn currency I can spend instead!

I think if you could go to google, enter "PuTTY", and then report putty.org , which currently and unfortunately is the first result ("Provide Feedback", or "Remove", idk, whatever seems most appropriate), and explain to google that this is not in fact PuTTY, as the title misleadingly implies, but some weird conspiracy nonsense, then that would be good
oh great the owner of putty dot org (who is, and I need to stress this, *not related to the maintainer of PuTTY whatsoever*) has recently decided to turn the website into a giant ad for a covid truther / antivax "documentary"

@davidgerard The summary of the AI part should be:

1. LLMs are useful...for scams.
2. LLMs are, poor at anything where accuracy and not hallucinating is important.
3. Companies are investigating whether LLMs have business uses for them, but not finding many.
4. People are being sold a worrying amount of 'AI' software that doesn't work as advertised and might be actively risky.
5. What exactly are LLM companies doing with the data you send them? No one knows, and you shouldn't trust them.

@davidgerard That report is so interesting, and also slightly terrifying in how little understanding the Department of SCIENCE, INNOVATION and TECHOLOGY seems to have of, well, science, innovation and technology.

Imagine not just expecting to find commercial implementations of blockchain in 2025, but being so astonished when you don't that you make it a key finding of the report.
