Hive comes closer to scratching that Twitter itch than Mastodon since it's a rather blatant copy going through a visual queer eye style makeover. It's pretty empty though. But if you are coming from there and replicating the experience is what you are looking for, that's more where It's at.

Helen recently tried the McPlant vegan burger at McDonalds and gave me a bite and I genuinely prefer it to their regular fare.
My theory is that they tried so hard to make the patty extra umami and meaty that they surpassed their rather meh quality meat patties.

Tried to avoid the news for near 2 days now because I was waiting for the summary of my most trusted Austrian source on US politics who so far has been right every single time since 2020 and he just delivered it and he's... relatively optimistic. And usually he's ruthlessly honest.

Me a few days ago dipping into the new Rimworld addon: "You can start families now! Gonna do a wholesome playthrough!"
Me today: "If I replace the legs of the prisoners that feed my vampire death cult with peg legs they can't run away and they have a cool piratey vibe!"
I am aware that as a newbie here I run the risk of sounding like a complete tit but I can't help it - Mastodon roughly translates to "boob tooth" because they had wee nipples on their teeth and I find that very funny because I am the equivalent of 12 sometimes.
