I know they say the greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he didn't exist, but I reckon it's actually allowing the HDD/SSD industry to use gigabytes/terabytes as units of storage instead of the gibibytes/tebibytes that computers actually display storage capacity in.

Star Trek TNG comes on telly and we think "Maybe we can try Charlie (our young son) on it now? See if he likes it?" and then I immediately realise it's the one sodding episode with an exploding head and chest-bursting alien in it. Typical.
