I am a product guy, a python coder and entrepreneur. I believe in social network and actually built one Swably.
I have built an Android app review and sharing community Swably. When I pitched it at a Start-up Grind event, the organiser questioned how I can make sure the content are "organized", I told him that "organized" is opposite that I want to provide, I want "chaos", which means freedom in my dictionary if "organized" mean government and corporate establishment.
Japanese has a reputation for poor English. Is it because Japan has been a rich country since 1970 and there is no need for Japanese to look out else where for knowledge and opportunities? Now China follows footstep of Japan, do new generation of Chinese feel less motivated to learn English?
If there is an alternative to sustain a free and open web yet still not too much compromise to business interests, that will be the world that I am looking forward to.
@turumore I am looking forward to see its evolution would follow the footstep of either Linux or Wikipedia, not that much profitable maybe, but doing a great service to the world. Yeah, it is cool to get rid of ads. I hate picturing a life that Minority Report depicted years ago, but it seems that this crazy world is going to that direction.
@Jaay um...or the other way around? ;) first there was chinese characters, and later hipster society found them...hipster and made tattoos out of these characters?
United has this new slogan "Fly Friendly Skies". I have a better idea: " Drag and drop, black eye or red eye guaranteed."
it's exciting to be part of the growth, it is boring to be bot and nut of a already big thing. is it part of the reasons people get here on Mastodon from Twitter?
