Today’s 2022.11 update (being rolled out gradually over the coming days) fixes a couple of minor bugs.
More interestingly, it starts collecting stats about how much time you listen to each podcast.
In the near future, this will enable fun retrospective features like end-of-year most-listened lists.
But don’t worry — I won’t make you wait until the end of the year!
A way to browse ongoing stats will be coming soon, once there’s enough data to be potentially interesting.

For many people who have stepped away from Twitter, Mastodon is their first experience with a decentralized social network. There’s a lot that can be said about the pros and cons of decentralization, but I want to focus on one very specific technical feature that Mastodon shares with a growing list of other services: ActivityPub.
RE: translation feature requests: this is probably not going to happen - if it does, not for a long time. The financial risk is too high.
My response to this is also that while right now it may feel like a Tower of Babel, the nature of mastodon instances would suggest that communities will settle over time and this problem will alleviate itself. The most I can offer immediately is the ability to copy toot text so you may paste in a translator of your choosing
