How long ‘till we get adds masquerading as email in our gmail accounts? And how long ‘till the free gmail tier is as crappy as YT is now? Gmail has been so important for so many people for a really long time, but with the way Google is handling stuff these days I fear we could see the end of gmail as we know it in this decade.

This footnote stuck with me. I see this in a lot of young people. They know how to operate stuff but not many of them are interested in how it works or how to build it themselves.

Just bought a #GoLang course. Me and #Rust have agreed to date other people since our relationship hasn’t been as exciting lately.
Never thought I'd ever be going through coreutils source code to debug something in my own code...

I simply cannot get used to the order of the systemd commands.

I'm always typing:

systemctl nginx restart

But it needs to be:
systemctl restart nginx

Probably muscle memory from other tools that do it in a more 'hierarchical' way: service nginx restart
Much more logical, no? 🙂
