During my university time I got in touch with #TeXLaTeX and I am stuck till then. It began as user. I have written my dissertation in LaTeX. Then I started writing packages. I have published some on #CTAN. Amoung them #BibTool.
Professionally I worked as consultant for IT projects, mainly in the context of Web and Java.
In 2011 I joined the CTAN team. I have build and maintained the Web portal. Now I am retired and still work on release 3 of CTAN. But there is much to do...Any help is welcome.

To relax -- well and because it is needed -- I am creating teaser images for packages and topics on #CTAN. It is very interesting to see what things can be done with #TeXLaTeX and which things have already been manifested as ready-to-use packages. It is also challenging to condense the possibilities of a package into an ad-like image of a defined size.

For some days we had a bug in the #CTAN portal which prevented updates to be visible in the portal. This problem has been solved and the portal is kept up-to-date again.

@maieulr the underlying authorisation for uploads will be unchanged: If you are not logged in then you have to enter your name and known email in the upload form (or the API). If you are logged in then these fields are filled automatically.
Thus -- as today -- it is not necessary to have an account to upload a contribution. But it makes things a little bit more comfortable.
If you start the upload from your contribution list then all known attributes are prefilled -- this will be new.

Many people provide highly valuable open source software. This state of mind should be supported.
