Flag football is gaining popularity in Kenya, with initiatives like the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) and the Kenya Federation of American Football (KFAF) working to promote and develop the sport. The NFL has also been involved in expanding flag football in Africa, with events in Nairobi focusing on coaching clinics, workshops, and talent identification. The sport is being introduced in schools, universities, and even slums like Kibera, with the goal of identifying and developing young talent.

Kenya Federation of American Football is thrilled to announce that out of the 14 #pioneer #coaches who successfully completed the first ever USA Football Level 1 Tackle, Two Kenyans, Waweru & Bahati, fly out today to Accra, Ghana @ghana American Football Federation , for the NFL International x IFAF Media coaching & officiating clinic. Big step for flag football in Kenya as they gear up to lead local training programs.
