@Zerorin I get that argument. And...A lot people who are less tech savvy use it as their default messenger app to message everyone, including family and stuff that don't have it. Basically they're forcing folks off the platform who want to use it as a hub for communicating with everyone. Imo it's easier to get more people using your app if they don't have to have multiple messaging apps. More users = more encrypted messaging
I'm also just annoyed I have to swap between apps all the time now. Now I have to check for texts in two places lol

Signal drops SMS support, adds stories feature. Anyone else see the way things are going?
Maybe it's a stretch but Signal may be a sinking ship either way, either trying to get absorbed by Twitter, or end up competing with it.
They're killing their user base by dropping SMS support, and nobody asked for stories and other social media features.
Also I think Moxie is a slimy little sell out.

@geograffiti Any time anyone tried to call them out to be accountable for anything they delete comments, get their different national chapters to message and harrass said people or orgs, and smear them with some kind of problematic label that isn't based on anything.
