blasting the criminal legal system in dual fighter mode šŸš€šŸš€
The number of kids’ activities that start prior to 8am these days is a crime against humanity. My kids have two totally separate activities that started before 8am this morning. My parents never had to suffer this. 😭

I take no position on the legal theory underlying the Trump indictment, except as follows: I suspect that no one raising the rule of lenity or constitutional protections against vagueness has ever tried getting a court to actually grant a defendant protection under such a theory.
@w7voa Could you please post a PDF of the indictment when you get it?

the rest doesn't matter

I frequently find myself wanting to write, "Perhaps the Court will find that it needs to rule for the government one way or another; but it certainly can't do so based on anything said in the answer brief."

GOP politics is an endless stream of purporting to stick it to the weirdos while not realizing that, in fact, they are the weirdos.

As Tennessee, others target drag shows, many wonder: Why?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — ā€œIf I hadn’t been a girl, I’d have been a drag queen.ā€ Dolly Parton has uttered those words famously and often. But if she really were a drag queen, one of Tennessee’s most famous daughters would likely be out of a job under legislation signed into law by Republican Gov.

@pbump Congrats!
I have (well controlled) Bipolar Disorder, and I think my insecurity about having a mental illness has given me a kind of reverse hypochondria. Whenever I get some symptoms, my first thought is that it’s psychosomatic/all in my head. I self-gaslight.
@RikerGoogling The canonical answer appears to be they didn’t for the same reason that they didn’t take other powerful friends on their journey: the eagles could have been corrupted by the ring. That may or may not be satisfying. But it appears that’s the answer Tolkienites give.
