Now retired, previously worked at Newport uni, avionics, truck driving, and electronics repair and maintenance. Previously a regular visitor to Portugal and Spain, and now Italy. But always ready to explore my native Cymru. Active supporter of Plaid Cymru and annibyniaeth.

My Italian friend is also having second thoughts about his proposed visit this summer. Partly because of border delays if he brings his car, and partly due to uncertainty about how he and his wife will be received, given the brexit triumphalism he reads about in The Guardian, and other media.

@AngharadHafod Dumb indeed, given your digital scales and mine cannot measure volume in ml, of dehydrated food say.🙄 But more irksome for me are recipes that use ounces or 'cups' and specify a 'medium' size veg item. Maybe it's my engineering background, expecting accuracy plus or minus a small percentage!

@AngharadHafod In my teens I could remember and produce an irregular alphanumeric sequence of about 20 characters, having previously seen it written down. But that faculty has long since left me. Your recall of pi to so many places is impressive. William Jones would be proud of you. Wales needs nerds.
