I've just bought some new electronic kitchen scales.

Is it a measure of how stupid people actually are, or how stupid companies think people are, that both the old and the new scales have a button to switch between measuring in grammes and measuring in ml? All that changes is the symbol g => mm ffs!

@AngharadHafod Dumb indeed, given your digital scales and mine cannot measure volume in ml, of dehydrated food say.🙄 But more irksome for me are recipes that use ounces or 'cups' and specify a 'medium' size veg item. Maybe it's my engineering background, expecting accuracy plus or minus a small percentage!

@Gaz I can concur. I saw a recipe today that asked for 1½ cups of banana. Like, what's that? Just tell me in grammes.
