Dinner tonight was a massive pot of summer risotto made with Samin Nosrat’s corn cob broth, a variety of veggies and local sausage, a bit of white wine and a touch of lemon…marjoram and thyme. Thank all the gods for AC.
It was thick enough for the spoon to stand upright until I chose to move it!

Somehow, I made chocolate chip cookies while also dealing with puppies, answering emails, and getting my second shingles vaccine.
They’re perfect. And the puppies are wonderful too. 😜

We appear to be getting puppies later this month! A brother & sister that seem to be spaniel/pomeranian mixes…so 15-20 lbs most likely.
