A reminder that the govt refused to allow a vote or debate in parliament before ratifying the Australia deal. It ended the nominal "scrutiny period" before the select committee could release its report.

Always the same pattern: shut down scrutiny, declare victory, unleash chaos. https://twitter.com/lewis_goodall/status/1592208294684557312

Poland is not going to trigger Article 5 over these kinds of incidents if confirmed. Either way though Warsaw will shift even more equipment that enables Ukraine to retaliate

This is the closest we have come now to all out world war. We must remain calm and with clear heads. ALL of us. Two missiles have flown over #Ukraine #Polish border. Hitting Polish (NATO) territory and so far two possible civilian casualties. This below is Article 5 of NATO:

Worth rereading Article 5, everybody. It doesn't oblige or commit to military action in e.g. the event of a stray missile landing in Poland.

But this is very serious, no doubt.

Collective defence and Article 5

Ukraine will get through this, as it has through Soviet and Nazi genocides, but history will judge those who let the killing happen just as harshly as the murderers themselves https://twitter.com/RomeoKokriatski/status/1592523116986925057
