@hystericempress Definitely a good point. But yeah, hence my "unlikely to happen unless for some reason Nintendo+Square Enix bring out something like an outright fullblown 3D remake of Mario RPG proper at the same time and using Geno as a promotional tie-in" which is... unlikely to happen. Ever.
^^;
Like, we'd be talking of a "when pigs will fly" kind of event.
@hystericempress I'd be surprised by Doom Guy... but then again as you said...
Doom 64 + DOOM/DOOM Eternal both on Switch might be backing enough.
Geno... feels very unlikely, bar something monumental like a re-release or outright remake of Mario RPG being suddenly suddenly release as an out of the blue surprise.
@hystericempress I guess my wonder is how many of the remaining 4 fighters will be first parties VS 3 parties. For example, Pokemon's Gen8 still has no entrant despite Byleth as the latest Fire Emblem character making it in as a DLC of Nintendo's other big franchises.
So the absence of "Gen8 Pokemon or Trainer" kind of feel... weirdly blatant, considering how much bigger Pokemon is as an IP?
@hystericempress Honestly, yeah. Like, of all the IPs, Banjo(which actually had solid ties to Nintendo) and Minecraft(which is, you know, Minecraft) were perhaps THE two Microsoft IP that had any chances of being there.
Master Chief was never in the race IMO, let alone Conkers.
