Phone apps may install hidden software that could intercept (eg) your bank account & login or data you exchange with your employer. It’s not “user data.” It's keystrokes and encrypted message data. It’s the potential for the Chinese Govt to collect industry/govt espionage data, or sell your bank account login details to hackers

I tried to report a scammer in my neighborhood to PECO (Philadelphia energy co.)
They claimed to be "a supplier of PECO, helping you avoid a connection charge that PECO is about to impose."
The PECO phone number to report scams has no option to report scams. The phone voice-agent can't interpret "scam" or "report abuse." It looped around for 10 mins, repeating that it did not understand. It would NOT connect to an agent. I gave up.
