Ich wollte das krude Setup von @proftech dann doch mal nachstellen. Vier FBen – 7360, 7520, 3370, 7412 –, jeweils LAN1 als WAN, FB im Routermodus, anderes /24 für (W)LAN, die 7360 hinter einer 6850 LTE, Handy/Laptop per WLAN an 7412: works as designed, Enten-Internet v4only durch NAT-Kaskade. Mit Freifunks batman wären alle Geräte in einer L2-Wolke mit IPv6, aber dank NATv4 geht sowas halt auch.
Nachdem unser IPv6-Mostly Setup endlich halbwegs rund läuft, sind unsere NAT64 Server regelmäßig ans Limit der möglichen Verbindungen gekommen, die sie übersetzten können.
Wir haben deswegen noch, pro Server, 8 weitere IPv4 Adressen in unseren Pool geholt.
Da diese Adressen exklusiv für das das NAT64 sind, steigt die Kapazität auf fast das 10-fache.
So ist auch Stoßzeiten nun mehr als genug Luft nach oben und ihr könnt ohne Probleme weiter surfen!

Short-lived and IP address certificates are now generally available from Let’s Encrypt. These certificates are valid for 160 hours, just over six days. In order to get a short-lived certificate subscribers simply need to select the ‘shortlived’ certificate profile in their ACME client. Short-lived certificates improve security by requiring more frequent validation and reducing reliance on unreliable revocation mechanisms. If a certificate’s private key is exposed or compromised, revocation has historically been the way to mitigate damage prior to the certificate’s expiration. Unfortunately, revocation is an unreliable system so many relying parties continue to be vulnerable until the certificate expires, a period as long as 90 days. With short-lived certificates that vulnerability window is greatly reduced.

As many of you know, the Matrix service consumes a lot of resources. This has become increasingly problematic in recent months, as it’s making operation more and more expensive.
For this reason, I’ve decided to discontinue the Matrix service.
The shutdown is planned for March 1, 2026.
Registration of new Matrix accounts has already been disabled.
I believe this timeframe is appropriate to give everyone enough time to migrate their Matrix account to another server.
The tt-rss service will also be shut down on March 1, 2026!
At the same time, the entire envs.net infrastructure will be moved to a new, more cost-effective server to return closer to envs’ original minimalist values.
In the future, chat for the envs project will again take place via IRC.
As before, we will be using the tildeverse IRC server:
