@divya @chanda unpopular opinion. No CW. In fact, I believe CW is a kind of 2-sides function. Content that should be warned against and content that is benign (?). That might mean users following guidelines would add CW to conversation about almost anything intellectual and inclusive while others will just throw up content without a filter. I would like discussion of race without CW. Put furry creature there instead. In sum, the CW function isn't what will work. Maybe mastodon isn't the place.

@jameshunterbr I teach Rhetoric of Science and this is a perfect case for watching science happening in networks outside of labs and journals. Weird Science slightly different from junk science. I was taking screenshots of everything I could. (Also played with Twitter analytics but dont want to manage that now). Insights here much appreciated. We start the conversation next week.

@djnavarro This is good to know. Politics / politics I get. Always climate change and covid-19? Better to be too careful I assume and ... let users decide? Gloom is hard. Is there a really good example of how folks here prefer alt text to appear?
