It’s not called #filmnoirvember as far as I know. So I just pulled a Kapten Stofil album from my bookshelf. The creator Joakim Lindengren is a master of pastiche and in this case has drawn and written in the style of Raymond Chandler, even using some situations and story elements from The Big Sleep.
I could t possibly explain Kapten Stofil for a none-Swede.
My 5 year old has decided that it’s game time, while dinner is in the oven.
He also received a game from the speech therapist,which he calls ambulansspelet (Swedish for The Ambulance Game). It’s a simple roll your dice and collect the corresponding card to the picture. You get the card if you correctly pronounce what’s on the picture. There are ambulances among the pictures. He’s an expert now ❤️
My 5 year old visits a speech therapist, and included each night in the laying down process is his practicing tongue placement according to this picture. It can be a struggle for him as he has what the speech therapist refers to as a busig tunga (Swedish for cheeky tongue), and often finds himself using his fingers to manipulate his tongue into the correct spot.
Been pottering about in the garden today, mixing grass seed in with planting earth and spreading it around. When she’s not pooing in newly grown grass, Sofia is eating older grass.
They died a lot to begin with because they would consistently vote to charge into battle at every opportunity. But I’d always make a note of the previous page so that we could jump back to it when needed.
Eventually I didn’t need to as they got the hang of things and there was a huge cheer when we finally completed it after about two weeks of sandwich munching accompanied adventure gaming.
Two are based on nice Swedish fantasy book series. Handbok för Superhjältar and Nelly Rapp. One's about a girl learning superpowers from a manual, the other's about a girl joining an organization that protects the world from monsters, or indeed the other way around.
