Just a late 20 something trying to muddle my way through the hyper capitalist dystopia with the help of my fluffy companions who are the best beings. Trying to get into fictional content creation at this late point is also depressing.
@futurebird As a small female I can say it just sucks. I need a size small in almost all dimensions except that my shoulders are too muscular but barely so, and my hips are slightly too big (less than a size) and it sucks. I am really sorry for you and all of us that have to deal with this
Job searches suck in the US. Sometimes I don't feel like a human being, just an inadequate collection of skills that are not exactly what they want to hear but no one will tell me what vocabulary they do want to hear in order for those skills to pass muster
@KimCrayton1 Money tends to insulate people from the whole "understanding" thing in all it's myriad forms

Over at Twitter, Musk is deleting the "Block" option except for DMs. Given the increasing numbers of extremists there, this is guaranteed to piss off all kinds of people who routinely get trolled. Based on experience and observation, journalists are among them.

When will journalists realize they should leave that vile platform, and bring their followers to better places like this one?

Maybe now?

@Yuriel Or the ones where they say "bachelor's required, master's preferred" and somehow also want 3+ years in industry working experience which they will carefully define in the description so you can tell you need to have been working full time and it needs to have been beyond the scope of any required things in the degree.
Job hunting in the United States is quite demoralizing. Positions labeled entry level require multiple years of industry specific experience. If you apply for a veterinary receptionist position, they want multiple years doing vet receptionist things, my years of customer service and animal care are not valid because they weren't in THAT setting. Great

@streetartutopia Bonus objective is hitting not just one thing, but something that will make individual school districts add layers to the ban beyond just a state wide ban
@LoadingReadyRun One of my favorite parts was Ben saying "not scary" followed by screaming from a puppet jumpscare
