Job hunting in the United States is quite demoralizing. Positions labeled entry level require multiple years of industry specific experience. If you apply for a veterinary receptionist position, they want multiple years doing vet receptionist things, my years of customer service and animal care are not valid because they weren't in THAT setting. Great
@FluffiestGuineaPig Reminds me of that story of the stupid job advertisement asking for 5-years minimum experience in a programing language that had been invented only three years before. 🤦🏻
@Yuriel Or the ones where they say "bachelor's required, master's preferred" and somehow also want 3+ years in industry working experience which they will carefully define in the description so you can tell you need to have been working full time and it needs to have been beyond the scope of any required things in the degree.

@FluffiestGuineaPig Wanna hear something even shittier? 😏

It is perfectly legal here to advertise for say, a receptionist position, something like:

- Ladies 18-24
- Must be single, no children
- "Excellent presentation" (that's code for "must be attractive")

Also, you are required to disclose any medical condition or disability(so they can come up with an excuse to reject you), if you believe in god and what religion you practice.

Fuck the whole RH world.
