Dream diary, log 1:

I was in 3rd person pov initially, seeing my neighbors act and me trying to go home. Was an ol friend from high-school. Talked about stories and fantasy.

Become myself talking bout dragons to my mom, go to bathroom to shower, become HP scientist in a party with bf, drink poison that makes me bleed out internally. Become myself as i bleed out w/o air, call desperately to dad as i die. Dad comes and gives me stuff to breathe again. Wake up in dream hating muuja. wake up irl.

You asked for it, and it’s coming. Quote posts, search, and groups are on their way. In the meantime, check out the new onboarding experience launching today. https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2023/05/a-new-onboarding-experience-on-mastodon/
A new onboarding experience on Mastodon

Today we’re making signing up on Mastodon easier than ever before. We understand that deciding which Mastodon service provider to kick off your experience with can be confusing. We know this is a completely new concept for many people, since traditionally the platform and the service provider are one and the same. This choice is what makes Mastodon different from existing social networks, but it also presents a unique onboarding challenge. To make this step easier, we now have a default sign-up option that works with a server we operate. If you wish to leave or join a different server, you can do so at any time.

@thejapantimes Well it's pretty easy to solve, make a convenient way of online distribution for people, Internationally of course
@Fleurcode @april @demi That is only going to make that lots of people end up losing their timelines cause they find to late that there are better suited communities.
I noped out from using Mastodon for my instance when an issue to change even a small thing like the favicon of your site/instance was ignored - not loudly but quietly. People were hacking their htaccess files, I recall. One didn’t need to be super-intelligent to figure out how ‘branding’ was important for Mastodon from that issue.
@edendestroyer @april @demi Ah, that sucks, allows for distinguishability, but it doesn't help the trust that people had in them, mainly from the older crowd. We already had a big disparity in popularity from Mastodon.Social to the other servers in here, it makes it seem like Mastodon stopped being a non-profit and became a for-profit. If that's the case, i'd jump ship from this main server in a second.
@edendestroyer @april @demi Or if i misunderstood, are they doing the opposite, controlling who can be considered Mastodon
